This 1965 Pontiac GTO hardtop coupe was originally delivered to McConica Motors in Ventura, California, and underwent refurbishment in the early 2000s. After the seller acquired it in 2016, a bored and stroked 469ci V8 with a tri-power induction setup was installed, paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. It is finished in red over black vinyl and features Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, black 15″ steel wheels, a Hurst shifter, AutoMeter auxiliary gauges, and a retro-style head unit. The GTO is now available at no reserve with Pontiac Historic Services documentation and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car was originally finished in Montero Red from the factory and was reportedly refinished around 2002. Exterior features include stacked headlights, a hood scoop, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers, window surrounds, and trim. A dent is present on the right rocker panel molding. The photos were taken in August 2023.

The black-finished 15″ steel wheels are fitted with Diamond Back III blackwall tires. The car features power steering, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes handle braking.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl. The center console houses a Hurst shifter with a cueball-style knob, and a retro-style head unit is installed.

The woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel is positioned in front of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. An AutoMeter tachometer is mounted on the steering column, with its light wired to a switch. A trio of gauges is installed below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer displays 24k miles, with approximately 12k added under current ownership. The total mileage is unknown.

The seller states that the 455ci V8 was bored and stroked to 469ci and installed in 2021. It features a tri-power induction setup and an aluminum radiator, along with number 48 ported cylinder heads and 2.5″ exhaust manifolds. A ported 1965 Tri-Power intake manifold is included in the sale. An oil leak at the rear of the pan is noted.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission, reportedly built by Paul Cangialosi and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential with 3.55:1 gears.
